Yoga Retreat in Lombok, Indonesia
Small-group retreats — max 8 practitioners — with daily yoga, bamboo villas, and personalised experiences in Mawun.
Anima Retreats are for everyone
Each of our yoga retreats in Lombok is created around a carefully chosen theme, offering a meaningful focus for the journey while leaving space for your own intentions to unfold. Rather than following a rigid schedule, our retreats balance guided experiences with generous free time, allowing you to move at a rhythm that feels natural to you. Alongside daily yoga and practices connected to the retreat’s theme, you can choose from a variety of optional activities, wellness experiences and opportunities to explore the surrounding nature. Join what inspires you, take time to rest, or create a more personal retreat centred on movement, reflection, adventure or complete relaxation.

two storey bamboo living
Perched above the coastline, this two-storey bamboo villa blends sustainable luxury with sweeping sea views. The ground floor opens onto a private pool, outdoor kitchen, and open-air lounge, while upstairs the master bedroom and semi-open bathroom lead to a signature floating net suspended over the hills — perfect for sunrise coffees and stargazing.
The Bed
A king size, high-quality mattress dressed in breathable linen. The low bed frame, bamboo structure, and mosquito net canopy create a well-ventilated, restful sleeping environment.
The Open-Air Shower
A semi-outdoor shower with natural ventilation and drainage, allowing fresh air and natural light to circulate freely. Built for both privacy and openness.
The Balcony
A private outdoor deck with unobstructed views. Furnished with natural materials — ideal for reading, resting, or simply taking in the surrounding landscape.
The Plunge Pool
A circular plunge pool with clean, filtered water set at the edge of the balcony. Open to sweeping views of rolling hills — ideal for cooling down after practice.
Things You Should Know About Anima
We want your stay in our Lombok Yoga Retreat to meet all of your expectations. These are the things we want you to be aware of before booking with us.
Anima is a bit tucked away. The last part of the road is short but a little bumpy – nothing crazy, just part of being out here. Once you arrive, it's quiet, open, and feels far from everything else.
The villas are made from bamboo and built to feel connected to nature, not closed off from it. Bathrooms are open-air, and yes — you'll probably hear geckos at night, see a few insects, and meet the occasional mosquito. It's all normal here.
We're in Mawun, which is more peaceful and less busy than Kuta. If you need shops, supermarkets, or more restaurant options, Kuta is about 15–20 minutes away. We'll help you get there with our scheduled shuttles and drivers.
November is the start of rainy season. It's still warm and beautiful, but you might get some tropical rain here and there. Bring a light raincoat and don't stress about it — it usually passes quickly.
Speaking of the team — they're really the heart of this place. Most are from nearby villages. Some are newer to hospitality, but they're kind, genuine, and truly care. That matters more to us than perfect service.
All bookings are non-refundable. In some situations, we can offer credit for a future retreat. We recommend getting travel insurance, just to be safe.
We also offer optional activities like surfing, hiking, and paragliding. They're completely up to you and at your own risk and cost — just listen to your body and choose what feels right.
This place isn't perfect — and that's kind of the point. It's natural, a little raw, and very real. If that's what you're looking for, you'll feel at home here.
Come See It Yourself
The light here, the sound of the jungle, the view from the shala — some things simply must be experienced. We'd love to welcome you. Our retreat registration is inquiry based only to ensure that the stay is as close to your way as possible.
